Possible Cause of Job Termination

Have you been losing jobs without reasons? What do you really think could cause this? Find out by reading the possible cause of job termination.

Plethora of reasons exist why jobs are terminated. Reasons could vary based on company’s policies or employers expectation which are not met.

Possible Cause of Job Termination

Below are some of the possible cause of job termination.

Poor Performance

Employees are employed based on acclaimed skills and knowledge required to achieve a certain task for the organization.

The employer expect a certain level of performance from the employee. This is because the collective level of performance could affect goal achievement and of productivity of an organization.

The organization which is aimed at profit maximization in a competitive market, will not tolerate for long performance that will affect negatively for company’s goal.

Room is always given for improvement, other improvement is not found then the employer stands the risks of being forced.

Stealing and Damaging Companies Property

The company’s or organization property are purchase or rented for the purpose of investment. Stealing could be in physical form such as stealing cash electronic gadget and vital company’s information.

When caught employee could be dismissed immediately, also when employees are caught damaging companies property would not just pay for damages but could be fired.

Absenteeism

Regular or frequently being absent without due approval from the management of an organization would affect personal and companies productivity. It shows that the employee is no longer interested in the job. When the company cannot find reasonable reason for frequent absenteeism.  

It would result in job termination. This is because the company as a hired employee owns then time you are there with them.

Sexual Harassment

When an employee male or female is reported, investigated and found guilty in any sexual harassment case, then he or she could be forced immediately, because it is a serious crime that could result in long jail sentence.

Violating Companies Rules

An employee must carefully read and properly understand company’s policies before accepting it employment offer. Company’s rules of engagement differs.  

Abuse of Drug/Alcohol

An employee caught on drug related issues or in possession of them stand the risk of being fired especially during working time.

This is because, it could lead to bad behavior works errors and inconsistency and accidents. A drunk employee can attract bad publicity for the company.

Arriving Late to Work or Leaving Early

When these occurs on a regular basis, unapproved it point to the fact that the employee is conducting his or her personal business using the company’s time.

This is one of the core reasons an employee is fired.

Handling a Difficult Co-Workers

In every twelve there is always a Judas. You will always find difficult persons irrespective of organization and its policies. They make it difficult for you to accomplish a given task.

This could have an adverse effect on your performance or output. So as not lose you temper acting in a manner that could put your job reputation and career at risk. There are ways you could handle the situation maturely.

Discuss Your Challenge

Talk calmly and reasonably to the person in questions, let him or her know how their behavior is affecting you.

If you can’t talk to the person then move straight to the boss and discuss the matter in a very mild way.

Every organization has its own share of people who are generally considered termed difficult co-workers. Being difficult could mean different things to different people.

However, in this scenario the term difficult co-workers at work place can be used to refer to those people, who love to put blames of their mistakes on others, those who habitually are unable to complete a given task but gives a lot of excuses, the gossips and bad mouthers.

Ignoring this set of people could have an adverse effect on your performance or output on a given task it could also cause you to lose your temper or acting in a manner that puts your job reputation at risk.

This calls for the need to handle them effectively.
